I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two time world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - typically known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers met for the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really going ahead.
